I don't want to sound rude, because you guys seriously have a great idea on your hands here.
But this game is really, REALLY bad.
This is the beginning of a great game, but it ends so abruptly and quickly that it was ultimately unsatisfying. Like, there's almost no story here. Mysteries and puzzles are set up and completely dropped, like the e-mail James sends you. Nothing ends up happening with that! What? Have you ever heard of Chekhov's Gun? It's brought up that this might all be related to a deep-web site where you can watch livestreams of people killed. Cool idea, that once again is not explored at all. Sara's neo-pagan friend and the significance of Walpurgisnacht? Never touched. Buddy the Creepy Dick-pic Soliciting Friend? Never touched. What this game amounts to is shuffling through some text messages and e-mails, making two choices and the game unceremoniously dumps you into a nonsensical ending where you are berated by your phone's Siri knock-off for no reason. I finished this in under an hour. That is simply not enough. This game is all set-up and no follow-through. I paid nothing for this and I still feel ripped off.
People, don't waste your time on this.
